there’s a discussion on my dash about whether or not it’s okay to like amanda palmer

like yes amanda palmer has said and done some problematic things

but that doesn’t mean you can’t like her or her music, because she is really amazing and important and talented in a lot of ways

and if i stopped like problematic things, well, i think i would never watch tv or listen to music again. no media for meridian!!!!!!!! and i am not going to live that way. i like media. but i do try to be aware of how things are problematic and listen when people say “hey this show or song or person is messed up”

so yeah tl;dr: IT IS TOTALLY OKAY TO LIKE PROBLEMATIC THINGS IF YOU ACKNOWLEDGE HOW THEY’RE PROBLEMATIC
