Privileges and Oppressions
Here’s what I am:
- South Asian
- Queer
- Nonbinary (though I still heavily identify with being a girl, so if you see me call myself a girl, don’t think that I’m contradicting my identity. It makes a lot more sense in my head. I tend to ID most strongly as a genderfluid girl. Again, might not make sense to you, but it does to me)
- Atheist
- Polyamorous
- Sex positive
- Pro choice
Here’s what I am not:
- A GODDAMN REVERSE RACIST.
- That’s basically it.
Here’s what will never ever be tolerated:
- Any harmful -ism (this includes mainstream feminism)
- Otherkin hate
- Rape jokes (unless you’re a survivor)
- Victim blaming
- Body shaming/policing
- Identity policing
- Any ~*~queerer than thou~*~ bullshit
- Derailing and tone arguments
- Failure to recognize intersectionality
You are completely allowed to not completely trust me based on my privileges. I respect that you may be wary when I speak about things that I have privilege in. That is completely justified. If you feel comfortable doing so, please call me out on anything.
